Six years after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the mystery surrounding the actor has once again become a talking point. His sister Shweta Singh Kirti has made fresh claims about what she believes happened to her brother, saying she still suspects foul play.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. While his death was initially treated as suicide, the case went through a long investigation involving multiple agencies. The CBI filed closure reports in 2025, saying its investigation found no evidence of foul play.
Shweta Singh Kirti Questions The Circumstances Around Sushant’s Death
In a recent podcast conversation, Shweta revisited several details that continue to trouble the family. She questioned aspects surrounding the post-mortem and also raised the issue of Sushant’s bedroom being locked.
According to the claims shared during the conversation, Shweta believes these circumstances do not give her a sense that the actor’s death was simply a suicide. She also mentioned conversations with psychics who, according to her, independently suggested that something suspicious had happened. These remain Shweta’s personal claims and have not been established as findings of the investigation.
Sushant Was Reportedly Disturbed After Disha Salian’s Death
Shweta also spoke about Sushant’s state of mind in the days before his death, particularly after the death of his former manager Disha Salian.
She recalled that Sushant appeared disturbed and allegedly told her that “they” would not spare him. However, she also acknowledged that she does not know who he was referring to and did not claim a definite identity behind the statement.
This part of her account has again brought attention to the questions surrounding the final days of the actor, although it does not establish a connection between Salian’s death and Sushant’s death.
Why Shweta Says She No Longer Wants CBI Closure
Shweta has now said that she has reached a point where she does not want to wait for an official sense of closure. She continues to believe there was a cover-up and that the family knows in its heart that something was wrong.
However, the legal and investigative position is important here: the CBI’s 2025 closure reports concluded that there was no evidence establishing foul play in Sushant’s death.
Shweta’s latest comments therefore represent her continuing belief and allegations, not a new official finding in the case.
