For Ankita Lokhande, becoming Archana in Pavitra Rishta came with a price that went far beyond long shooting hours. The actress has now recalled just how intense those early television days were, including spending months practically living on the set.
The show became a major turning point in Ankita’s career, with her portrayal of Archana making her a household name. But behind that popular on-screen image was an exhausting routine that left very little time for normal life.
Ankita Lokhande Pavitra Rishta Journey Me Ghar Jaana Bhi Ho Gaya Tha Mushkil
Ankita recalled that there was a phase when she did not return home for three months because of continuous day-and-night shoots. She would stay on the set and prepare for scenes there itself.
The schedule was so hectic that a men’s washroom on the set was kept available for her, where she would take showers and get ready. Her hairdresser also helped her manage clothes between shoots.
Fresh Clothes Tak Ka Time Nahi Milta Tha, Actress Ne Reuse Kiye Undergarments
The most startling part of Ankita’s throwback comes from how little time she had even for basic personal necessities. She recalled occasions when she did not have fresh undergarments, so she would wash the old ones, have them ironed and wear them again.
Despite those difficult conditions, the actress says she does not regret that phase. For her, those experiences became an important part of the journey that shaped her work ethic and helped build the career she has today.
Pavitra Rishta Ke Sets Par Ankita Ka 148-Hour Shooting Record
The workload did not stop at long days. Ankita recalled that she once worked continuously on the Pavitra Rishta sets for an astonishing 148 hours, which she considers her personal record.
She was also heavily involved in the show’s scenes because the story frequently revolved around her character. At one point, while playing a double role, even an eight-hour schedule meant continuously switching between two characters.
Interestingly, Ankita also revealed that she would stay back to give cues to newcomers and preferred being present for her scenes instead of using a body double. Her dedication to Archana extended even to her costumes, as she bought sarees herself to ensure the character looked right on screen.
Ankita Lokhande’s Pavitra Rishta memories reveal the exhausting reality behind one of television’s most remembered female leads—and why those years still hold such a special place in her journey.
